About our Store
Divine’s at Pines and Mission sits a few short blocks from scenic Interstate 90 off the Opportunity exit. “Opportunity” was the original small town that was named using a contest in 1905. The small community was absorbed by the city of Spokane Valley when they incorporated in 2003. Divine’s Valley Station was constructed in 1995 on a property that once held a small gas station/shop named “Big Reds.” We see many interesting things as we are so close to the Interstate. One such moment occurred on May 11, 2011. A woman hauling a 400-pound pig pulled into our parking lot. This is not so strange. The strange part is HOW she was hauling it. It is never a good idea to put such a large animal in the back of your minivan. No matter how nice of a pig you think it is. (Google pig in parking lot Spokane Valley – Yep, that is us.) Of course, this will never happen again as we are all well aware of how to properly haul our pigs. Whew. On a happier note – our little store had a grand prize Kickback winner. He won a trip to Las Vegas, but could not do the trip. Instead, they gave him $15,000.00. He was so grateful we harassed him into getting a Kickback card. We also sold a $100,000.00 winner in the Power Ball game! We love pets and have snacks available for our canine friends. (The store manager also feeds the squirrels…they are well fed, so you will be safe.) We pride ourselves on being the “corner store”. We are unusual, lucky, animal-loving, and have outstanding employees.
